Step into spring with our Sunflower Walk
We are inviting everyone, including the dog, to step into spring and fundraise for us as The Sunflower Walk returns on Saturday 20 May.
Taking place in the beautiful Virginia Water, from 10am, you can choose to walk either 4k, 6.5k or 13k. Discover the famous lake, walk past the iconic Copper Horse statue, and take in the awe-inspiring sight of the 100-foot Totem Pole to support your local Hospice.
Alison Evans, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at Thames Hospice, said: “The walk gets bigger and better every year and we are so lucky to have such fantastic ongoing support. I can’t urge you enough to sign up for this event, full of warmth and fun all the family can enjoy.”
Generously supported by John Guest for the fourth consecutive year, all funds raised via The Sunflower Walk will help us continue providing quality of life to people facing life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. For those walking in memory of someone special, there will be the opportunity to leave a message on the Memory Tree.
Adults will receive a T-shirt and children get sunflower deely boppers; all walkers who cross the finish line will receive a medal. Plus, there will be children’s entertainment and refreshments.
