
Karen Cook - Education Lead
Karen is a registered adult nurse with a career focused on palliative and end-of-life care both in clinical practice, management, education and research across different settings including primary, acute and hospice care. Karen has experience in higher education supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate students in care of those with long term conditions and with end-of-life care needs. Currently, she is researching communication education in pre-registration nursing degree programmes.
Karen is a registered teacher and has completed her postgraduate certificate in teaching and learning. Her interests include supporting informal caregivers and enabling the development of effective communication for those working in health and care settings, and engaged in supporting those with end-of-life care needs.
