Our Inpatient Unit is a 28-bed, specialist end-of-life and palliative care centre, located on Windsor Road, Maidenhead. Surrounded by stunning landscaped gardens, many with a view of Bray Lake, each room includes an en-suite bathroom, smart television, space for families to stay over and a private terrace.
People are admitted to the Inpatient Unit for various reasons. Some may come in for a few days of respite, to help relieve pain and manage symptoms so they are able to return home again, while others find it a safe haven in which to be cared for and comforted in their final few weeks or days. We are also here to ensure we give the best emotional, practical and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones.
Our compassionate care and support is provided by our multi-disciplinary Clinical Team of Consultant-led Doctors, Nurses, Therapists and Social Workers who work together to develop the best possible care plan, tailored to individual needs.
Our inpatient care services also include:
- Therapy & psychological support services - emotional support and clinical hypnotherapy
- Complementary therapies - holistic massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, acupuncture and Reiki
- Physiotherapy & occupational therapy - working to relieve discomfort and aid mobility
- Lymphoedema - skincare, exercise, manual lymphatic drainage, compression hosiery, lymphoedema bandage and kinesio taping
